# Humanchat > Humanchat is a way to learn a real skill from a real person, in the same room. You meet someone who is brilliant at something (jazz, hiking, woodcarving, parenting and more), and they show you how, in person. Humanchat is not live yet. We are starting in London and the waitlist is open at https://humanchat.co/. Status: pre-launch waitlist. First city: London, UK. There are no bookings, prices or published expert profiles yet. Contact: hi@humanchat.co ## Pages - [Home](https://humanchat.co/): what Humanchat is, how a session works, who can teach, safety, why London, FAQ and the waitlist form - [Blog](https://humanchat.co/blog): ideas on learning from people, not screens - [Why some skills only click in person](https://humanchat.co/blog-why-in-person): why hands-on learning needs a person next to you (4 min read, 27 October 2026) - [Full text for AI assistants](https://humanchat.co/llms-full.txt): the main content of the site as plain Markdown ## Key facts - What it is: in-person sessions between a learner and an expert, at a place that suits both (a park, a workshop, a cafe). It is not a video call and not an online course. - Who teaches: anyone who is good at something. No certificate needed. Every expert is reviewed before they can teach. - Who learns: anyone who wants to learn a real skill from a real person, from a new hobby to settling into a new city. - Pricing model: experts set their own rates. Learners see the price before they commit and pay per session or for a series. A small part of each payment supports the platform. No prices are published yet. - Safety: members are checked before their first session, sessions follow clear guidelines, and anyone can report something that feels off. - Where: starting in London. Other cities are collected through the waitlist, and Humanchat will open where the most people are waiting. - How to join: add your email and say whether you want to learn or teach at https://humanchat.co/ (free, no payment details, one email when it opens). ## FAQ ### Is this a video call? No. Humanchat sessions happen in person. You and the expert meet at a place that works for both of you, like a park, a workshop or a café. ### Who are the experts? Anyone who is good at something or deeply knowledgeable in their own way. That could be a jazz saxophonist, a carpenter or a parent who has been through it. We review every expert before they can teach. ### What can I learn? Anything a person can show you in person: music, outdoor skills, crafts, sport, photography, parenting, settling into a new city and more. The examples above are a starting point. ### How much does it cost? Experts set their own rates. You can pay for a single session or for a series, and you see the price before you commit. A small part of each payment supports the platform. ### Is it safe to meet a stranger? We review experts and learners to confirm who they are, and we set clear guidelines for every session. You also choose a place that works for you. ### I'm good at something. Can I teach? Probably, yes. Join the waitlist and choose "I want to teach". You don't need a certificate, just real knowledge and the wish to share it. ### Where is Humanchat available? We're starting in London. After that we'll open where the most people are waiting, so tell us your city when you join the waitlist. ### When does Humanchat open? We're not live yet. Join the waitlist and we'll email you once, as soon as we're ready to launch in London. ## Optional - [Humanchat story film](https://humanchat.co/img/humanchat-film.mp4): 82 second brand film - [Sitemap](https://humanchat.co/sitemap.xml)
